When does design become new?

For this brief, I created a series of zines that explored the concept of ‘iterative design’. Each issue is a mutation of the last. The series centres around a core theme of corruption.

Unlike online databases and libraries which are meticulously organised, Doctored is a publication series filled with media from crashed, unkept and corrupted archives. Collections that were once readable and recognisable, are now damaged beyond repair. The project dives into the ideas of order and disorder, and the paradox, which suggests that increasing order simultaneously creates disorder. Through heavy use of layered elements and collage, Doctored presents an organised, yet disordered series.
